Vacancy” Actor Embry Still in Hot Water

Old motorcycle accident still new to alleged victim By Jeffrey Jolson

HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Today) 4/20/07 — Actor Ethan Embry, who is in this weekend’s film opening “Vacancy,” is still in hot water over a motorcycle accident that injured his 22-year-old passenger. Embry who also plays a heroic paraplegic in upcoming film “Heart of a Dragon,” is being sued in Los Angeles Superior Court over a 2005 accident in which model Angelina Roudeva claims he had been drinking before the spill which left her bleeding and unconscious. Roudeva alleges she was refused medical treatment for a while as Embry first tried to carry the semi-conscious woman to his Hollywood Hills home despite her pleas for an ambulance, then placed her in a bathtub and poured cold water and rubbing alcohol over her numerous wounds in a painful attempt to treat them. The claim, filed in December 2005, has gotten renewed attention as Roudeva’s attorney says she suffered severe and permanent injuries and only now has the full extent of the scarring and post-incident psychological problems become evident. Embry’s attorney did not return repeated calls but has filed court papers denying all charges. Prior to what Roudeva says was her first and last motorcycle ride in April 2005, the actor assured her he was able to drive and refused to let her off when it became apparent he was not. According to her lawyer, prominent Century City attorney John Pierson, Embry only took her to the hospital when her demands to do so became screams when the rubbing alcohol snapped her into full consciousness. She was then driven to Cedars Sinai and treated for head injuries as well as multiple cuts and abrasions to her shoulder, hand, hip, legs and ankle.
